TODAY, March 10th at 3:00 PM we will rally at City Hall in NYC to let Mayor DeBlasio Know: He’s on the Wrong Side of Israel’s Apartheid Wall
Mayor Bill de Blasio’s promise to defend Israel, which he made recently to AIPAC behind closed doors, is inflammatory and an affront to all people who defend the human rights of the Palestinian people. On the tenth year of Israeli Apartheid Week, New Yorkers continue to speak out in response to what is deemed an unacceptable, pandering relationship to AIPAC.
WHEN: Monday, March 10, 2014 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
WHERE: City Hall, NYC Broadway and Chambers Street
Signs will be provided. Facebook event page.
5:00 PM - Walk together from City Hall with our signs held high to join NYU Students for Justice in Palestine
7:00 PM: NYU Students for Justice in Palestine panel discussion with Max Blumenthal and Ali Abunimah at 238 Thompson Street, NYC Facebook event page for Panel Discussion.
Quote from Mayor Bill DeBlasio:
“There is a philosophical grounding to my belief in Israel and it is my belief, it is our obligation, to defend Israel, but it is also something that is elemental to being an American because there is no greater ally on earth, and that’s something we can say proudly…” - New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, meeting with AIPAC, January 23, 2014
